Discharge will be 21 year-old Petra Collins’ first solo show. The Toronto-born artist and curator prodigy has been creating provocative work that deals with female sexuality and teenagehood since the ready age of fifteen. Discharge is a culmination of work that illustrates changed prospective as it relates to the different stages of female development in a hypersexualized beauty-obsessed so- ciety. Inspired by pop-culture, female chat, and the likes of Rihanna, Collins aims to empower and change the way we look at woman and how they look at themselves.
